New Books

Thursday, 23 October 2014

There are new series collections now available for you to borrow.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
Greg Heffley is just your average American schoolboy, but he seems to have a habit of getting into the most awkward situations - and his highly dysfunctional family do not help matters! Jeff Kinney's Diary of a Wimpy Kid series has proven very popular and managed to entice many reluctant readers since the release of the first book in 2007, winning a host of awards along the way too. There are six  cartoon-format novels. Laugh-out-loud funny, these books will appeal to boys and girls.

Dinosaur Cove.
This collection follows the adventures of two boys, Jamie and Tom, who discover a secret entrance to a prehistoric world where dinosaurs roam. In these books Jamie and Tom are off in the Cretaceous period facing a different creature and battling new challenges during nail biting adventures in the world of dinosaurs. Each book is illustrated throughout with fantastic black and white artwork by Mike Spoor and includes fact files, maps, and much more. This is the first series to set fast-paced adventure stories in a world with very real dinosaurs.

Time Hunters.
Join Tom on an incredible treasure hunt through time and battle history’s mightiest warriors. This series is perfect for fans of Beast Quest.
When ten-year-old Tom accidentally smashes a statue in a museum he releases Isis, a young Egyptian mummy who has been imprisoned for thousands of years. To break an ancient curse, the duo must travel back in time to find six hidden amulets - battling Gladiators, Knights, Greeks, Vikings, Pirates and Egyptian Warriors!
