If you are a fan of Dork Diaries and Tom Gates come and have a look at the new books that have just arrived in the library.
The Hilldene Bake Off may be over but if you enjoyed baking and would like ideas and inspiration for your next bake there are two new cookery books for you to have a look at.
All of these books and many others are availbale for you to borrow from the library and are located on the new book shelves.

Summer Reading Challenge

The certificates and medals have arrived for the children that managed to complete this year's reading challenge. They will be presented to them this week.
It was particularly difficult to complete the challenge this year due to the closure and relocation of Hilldene Library. Hopefully many of you have visited the new library and have had a look around.
Well done to all of the children that completed the challenge this year.



National Poetry week

We are celebrating all kinds of poetry this week at school. It is national poetry day on Thursday 6th October, a time to embrace, enjoy and read poetry. On Monday poet Baden Prince came into school, he held workshops with year groups 1- 6. The children thouroughly enjoyed the time they spent with him and had fun.
There are numerous poetry books to choose from in the junior library come and take a look at the selection and perhaps borrow one to take home to share with your family.
