                                                      Virtual School Library

The virtual school library has been updated this morning with many more activities and competitions to take part in. The author of the week is Michelle Robinson and you can read her new book 'Do Not Disturb Dragons' on the website. It is aimed at KS2 children. Younger children can enjoy reading 'Charlotte's Piggy Bank' by David Mckee as well as listen to and watch a video of another of his books 'Not Now Bernard'.

Happy Reading

The National Literacy Trust have launched their digital, free, virtual school library for primary school children. It features an author or illustrator of the week, free stories to read, videos to watch, activities to download and much, much more.

This week (21st Setpember) you can listen to an audio version of the book Kid Normal written by Greg James. This is the story of an ordinary boy who is accidentally thrust into a chaotic world of secret superheroes and what happens to him along the way. There are adventures for Peter Rabbit, Paddington, Swashbuckling Pirates and a donkey for younger children and nursery rhymes to sing along to. All of this in the comfort of your own home.
