SUMMER READING CHALLENGE
Friday, 26 June 2020
This year the summer reading challenge is a bit different, instead of visiting your local library, it is online. The theme is silly squad and it is celebrating books that make you laugh and feel happy. The silly squad are a group of unusual animals that love adventure and fun. They adore reading and playing games. There are badges to earn along your journey, games to play and a certificate to print if you manage to complete the challenge. If you would like to take part you will need to register and create an account with the summer reading challenge website, all of the information you need will be there as well as lots more fun and create ideas.

The Junior Library has turned a lovely shade of red to celebrate Red Nose Day. All of the dispaly books have a red cover why not read one just for fun? The photograph shows a small example of the books you can choose from.

Well done to the first group of children who have completed reading the war story challenge. The victory medals were presented in celebration assembly on Friday morning.
There are many children who have started the challenge and have read at least one war story hopefully they will complete it. They have written their thoughts about the stories on a poppy. A display has been arranged in the Library please take a look if you have a spare moment.
