In November a reading challenge was running in the library. The challenge was to read three war themed books during the month. There were many books to choose from both fiction and non-fiction. The challenge has now finished and victory medals were presented during celebration assembly on Friday. Congratulations to everyone who completed the challenge and thank you to everyone who took part.

The war story reading challenge is proving to be very popular, two children have already completed it. There is still time for you to take part. The challenge is to read three war stories before the end of November, there is a mixture of information and fiction books for you to choose from. As these books are library books they can only be borrowed and returned during your library time.

Thank you to all the children who have taken part in the war story challenge, it is now over. I hope that you have taken the opportunity to read something different and enjoyed the stories. Your thoughts about the stories were written on poppies and displayed in the Library they looked fantastic. All children who completed the challenge, by reading three war stories, have received their 'victory medals' in assembly. Look out for a new competition coming soon.
